The Shetland Trader Aestlight Shawl Knitting Pattern

"Aestlight" means "east light" in Shetland dialect. This shawl knitting pattern uses traditional Shetland construction. Beginning with a garter stitch triangle, it increase from the point outwards. Easily picked up stitches are visible yarn over loops along the edges while the border is worked outwards from the triangle. The edging is knitted sideways at attached to the love stitches of the border as it is being worked.
