Wonderful soft yarn for babies

Written by Clarissa on 19th Oct 2016

I bought the colors lagoon and carnival. I knitted a baby sweater and hat with the carnival. I love it. The color transition is smooth forming stripes gently. The yarn is soft and easy to work with. I did not have an issue with yarn splitting. The color carnival is best for girls as it has pink, purple, orange colors.

Great for babies

I usually don't like acrylic yarns because they are not soft and often times scratchy. Not so with this yarn. I prefer wool but for a baby blanket that will probably be washed several times acrylic is a better choice. Also, babiies can sometimes allergic to wool. The colors are beautiful. Easy to work with-no splitting and no drag. Nice yardage.

Easy to work with...

Currently, I am making a baby blanket from the pattern featured with the yarn, Textured Boxes. The yarn is very soft, nice for babies. It is working up easily, though sometimes the yarn splits, which is the reason for only 4 stars rather than 5. I do tend to knit tightly, which may be part of the reason for splitting as well. The Cotton Candy colorway is a very soft pastel color combination, perfect for either a boy or girl.

Great

This is a nice yarn to work with compared to other baby yarns I have used for blankets. Very soft and does not split or get "pilly". Plus it is fun to see it take on its shading. I do recommend this yarn.

Terrible yarn for a yarn snob

Never knit a baby blanket before and understand the need for washability but its horrible to work with, splits, no give. Would rather make an heirloom in lovely yarn than a wash and wear blanket with all the work that goes into knitting

Working on a small blanket now with this yarn now and it is soft and easy to work with. Always a pleasure to knit with quality yarn.
