Was impressed with the fabulous colors of the yarn when I opened the box.

Manos Silk Blend Yarn from Manos del Uruguay
Manos Silk Blend is a luxurious blend of merino wool for softness with silk for lustre and drape. Perfect for indoor garments and transitional outerwear, its brilliant palette invites traditional colorwork. The soft heathering of the fiber blend plus the gentle striations of the kettle-dyeing process also give depth and complexity to single-color projects.
Please note: Space Dyed Shades are $1.00 more per hank

This yarn is of five star quality but it had knots in the skeins, therefore the four stars. The scarf kit colors were very beautiful and crocheting it was a pleasure. Thickness was somewhat inconsistent but acceptable for crocheted scarf.
This is the second project I've made with this yarn and I love it! The colors are beautiful and it is so easy to work with. Everyone at the company has been really helpful and the products always arrive quickly.
Love the colors in Mermaid! Pretty blend of blues and greens with a touch of purple. Bought 2 skeins for a scarf and so far it is working up wonderfully. Easy to work with and very soft. Can't wait to buy more in additional colors. Great value for the price as well.
Manos Silk Blend is my favorite yarn right now. It's so soft and luxurious. I love the colorways. It knits up smoothly.
Nice to work with.
I haven't knitted with this yet. I am still attempting to wind it. In all my years of winding yarn,I have never encountered skeins so difficult to work with! I ended up having to cut one in several places to untangle it on the swift! I haven't this problem with other Manos yarns. Beware! Allow plenty of time for preparation before you can cast on! I am excited to get going. The colors are beautiful and the yarn is dreamily soft!
The colours and feel of the yarn were better than expected. It knits up a dream and looks like it will hold it shape while still being soft and flexible. I would buy this yarn again in a different colour.
On the Manos label, one is duly warned about the inconsistency of this yarn from skein to skein, and I have to agree completely. I ran into a couple of yards where the yarn went from worsted down to a fingering weight, and I debated on whether to cut that part out or not. As I knitted with this yarn, the fiber felt a little "webby" due to the high silk content, and the fabric that is made from this yarn is a little on the thin side in spite of the gauge and has very light hand. If one is making a garment where the weight of the fabric is important to how it lays on the body, this yarn may not give the desired effect as would a pure wool fiber achieve. However, if you are going for a color impact, this yarn is for you.
I love this blend. It is soft and silky. It is truly the best of wool and silk! I am making a cowl and love how it feeds between the needles. Will definitely use it for other projects again!
Best yarn for a cowl, scarf, wrap. The colors are fabulous . My giftee is drooling for her cowl. The work of making it is a joy because the yarn is so workable and gorgeous.
I have a few projects to finish for Christmas so I just knitted a few rows to see how it looked. I love the color, loved it when the yarn was first recommended by your Knit Doctor for a trinity stitch sweater. It is very soft, I hope that it holds up, that's my only concern. I used Malabrigo for a sweater vest, it's very soft, has to be shaved. I hope that doesn't happen with this yarn.
