Needle sizes: Ten pairs of bright needle heads in each kit. Includes sizes: 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 10.5, 11, 13, 15

New size #17 (12mm) and size #19 (15mm) available separately.

When you discover your gauge calls for a needle one size larger or smaller than you planned, with the flexibility of Denise Interchangeable Needles, you’ll always have the right size ready.

Needle lengths—Circular and Straight: By joining the Interchangeable Needle heads to the flexible cords, and by combining different length cords together, each of the ten needle pairs can make:

Straight needle lengths: 9”, 13”, 16”, 20”, 30”, 34”

Circular needle lengths: 17”, 20”, 22”, 24”, 26”, 28”, 33”, 40”, 50”, 58”

Denise needles are ideal for large or small knitting projects.

Combo needles Create interesting texture in your knitting by using two vastly different needle sizes (#7 and #15, for example) on opposite ends of a circular needle, or on two different straight needles. Or, if you knit tightly (or just want to speed up your knitting), knit with ease (and speed!) by replacing the left hand needle head with one that’s a size or two smaller than the right hand needle head. Your stitches will slide easily off the left hand needle and your gauge will be unaffected because it is entirely determined by the right hand needle that you’re knitting on to. Knit easy and quick—knit happy! Click here to see more unique uses for Denise needles.

Stitch holders Every cord in each kit easily becomes a stitch holder. There’s no need to move your knitting to a different stitch holder when you’re knitting with Denise. Leave your knitting in place. Simply detach the Interchangeable Needle head and replace it with one of the four end buttons included in each kit. Your knitting is held safely and securely in place.

Comfortable to use No more tired wrists or knocking needle ends.

Flexible cords mean you always keep the weight of even the largest projects in your lap, not bunched up heavily on your needle. Flexible cords also mean you can knit comfortably in seats with arms, or in tight quarters such as on an airplane. For knitters with hand or wrist problems, a straightened paperclip can be inserted through the cord tips and used as a lever to gently and easily lock or unlock knitting parts with next to no gripping pressure required.

Neat and orderly
It’s all there when you need it.

The compact, sturdy case (7” by 8 ½”) holds all the needles, cords, extenders and buttons securely in one place. Needles and parts always have a home to return to, so no more tangle of needles or searching for lost stitch holders. Innovative connection, flexible and durable A patented, unique, smooth and durable connection

Denise Interchangeable Needles and parts easily and securely “lock” into place by twisting ¼ turn. Other companies’ connections screw together, and since a screw works by turning, the natural turning of knitting can unscrew the connection. Denise knitters commonly report using kits that are 15-20 years old and still going strong!

Airline Safe
Relax while traveling with your knitting.

Some knitting needles are not allowed through airport security. Denise needle heads are shorter than a pen and made of resin. With the included end buttons, you can disassemble a circular needle and keep your knitting in place until you’re comfortably seated on the plane. Denise knitters are reporting no problems passing with them through security checks at airports.

Love the concept, this kit was one of the better ones I could find and I look forward to this weekend when I can give it a good trial run.

Keep Getting Better

Written by Wendie Hardy Karpinski on 12th Oct 2015

I purchased my original set of Denise plastic needles almost ten years ago. They were all white and the size was engraved into the plastic needle. Sometimes it was hard to distinguish between an 8 and a 9 without a magnifying glass. Over the years, I have purchased two more sets (one container was pink for breast cancer donation). Many improvements have been made. The last set I purchased had varied pastel-colored needles with much larger size numbers engraved on them. They just keep getting better and better. The only needles I have used that weren't Denise since my first purchase were some metal, double-pointed circulars sizes 2 and 3 for socks. Highly recommend!

Wonerful set of circular needles!

Written by Sue Foley on 20th Mar 2014

I've used an older set of circular needles that screwed together, often coming apart while knitting. This set "twists" together, never coming lose!!! Best set ever, a great investment, I have many knitting projects lined up and can't wait completing every one of them with my new set!!! The only set you'll ever need to buy!!!

Does it ALL! And in one small case!

Written by Sue B. on 8th Jun 2012

I'm fairly new to knitting. Every time I wanted to start a new project I would also have to buy different size needles including various lenths for sleeves, trim etc. I came across this set, bought them and they do it all. No problems with yarn getting caught in spaces between needles and yarn holders like I had with other brands of circular needles. I can also make my needles any length for large project. Also, they are well priced and more versatile than similar brands.

We sell the New and Improved Denise Needles

Written by Nancy at NobleKnits on 5th Oct 2010

This is in response to Martha's post. We sell the NEW and much improved Denise Interchangeable Needles. The new needles are not the old screw together method as Martha described. Our Denise needles are based on a sturdy "click and lock" system. Here is a little bit from the manufacturer, Linda Krag, regarding how Denise Needles have changed over the years: "The Denise Interchangeable Knitting Needle kit is the invention of Lorraine and Robert Linstead, who manufactured and sold them for over two decades. Prior to developing Denise, they designed what is now called the Boye Needlemaster. However, the Linsteads were not satisfied with the design, particularly the problem of needles unscrewing and discoloring. They developed Denise Interchangeable Knitting Needles as an improved product with a unique locking system and light but strong plastic needles—a better kit for less money." Personally, I own 3 sets and used them every day. I love the point to the needles and the cables are thicker than an ordinary circular needle (they don't twist up on you, either).

hated the ones I had

Written by Martha Woodall on 5th Oct 2010

I had a set of these a long time ago. They are not good. The needles keep unscrewing while you are using them and the yarn gets stuck between the needle and the yarn holder. Not a good idea.

All in one

Written by Grannytomany on 4th Oct 2010

Interchageable needles are the best thing since sliced bread. While away from my EXTREMELY large supply of needles, I can always have what I need in one little case. Am giving a lot of my old needles to those who don't have the sets. Love them!!!!
