Easy knitting! Knit a relaxing to make garment for yourself. Eya is a simple open vest knitting pattern. It's worked in pieces starting at the back and working from the bottom up. The fronts and back yoke are worked in one piece, starting at the lower right front edge and ending at the lower left front edge.

Bust (closed) – 32 (36, 40, 44, 48, 52, 56)" after blocking
Length (hem to shoulder, as worn) – 24 (24½, 25, 25, 25½, 26, 26½)"
Note:  This garment was designed with approximately 2–4" of ease.  The fronts have a 6" overlap and do not close, therefore the fit is very forgiving.

You will need:

  • 6 (7, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11) hanks Berroco Quechua Yarn, shown in #1354 Palace
  • Size US 4 and 6 knitting needles

Gauge: 20 sts and 34 rows to 4" in Garter St on larger needles, after blocking
