Product Description

Bamboo Bloom Handpaints from Universal Yarn

If you like Universal's Bamboo Bloom yarn, you'll love Bamboo Bloom Handpaints! This yarn has lots of texture and beautiful color striations! This yarn is actually a combination of two yarns tied together sporadically. One yarn is a fluffy loosely spun wool roving, the other is a thinner shiny bamboo strand. Together you get the beautiful blend of matte and shiny, thick and thin. It's a lovely combination that works beautifully in scarves, shawls, cowls, even sweaters. Bamboo Bloom Handpaints knits up at a bulky weight for quick knitting results.

  1. Weaving with bamboo

Posted by Anah on 4th Dec 2012

I use this yarn to weave scarfs on a loom. I have different criteria than a knitter would have. The yarn will make a subtly colorful and soft scarf. I ordered two different colorways and both are lovely.

  2. Fabulous thick n thin yarn.

I've just completed the Persephone Handpaints Cowl in Universal Yan Bamboo Bloom Handpaints Color 306 - Fallen Petals. It's beautiful and the yarn is very soft against the skin and a dream to work with. The pattern couldn't be easier. I plan to make more for gifts - at least one from every color available. I made this cowl in two evenings of t.v.

  3. STUNNING!

Posted by Jill on 12th Aug 2012

The colors and textures in his yarn are amazing! Unfortunately I can't review any more than that because I'm setting it aside while I complete another project. (Going to knit the one-skein short rows scarf with it later.)
