We were really excited to find this yarn! New from Universal, Classic Shades is a soft self-striping roving style yarn in a sophisticated color palette. What makes it so spectacular it that it's machine washable! The colors are really pretty - with gentle color striping. Classic Shades is worsted weight and the blend of wool and acrylic gives it a sheen similar to silk. Use it to knit modular and mitered knits as well as sweaters, afghans, scarves, shawls, hats, and mittens. Oh, and it's great for baby items too, since it's machine washable!

70% Acrylic, 30% Wool
100 gram skein, approximately 197 yards
Gauge: 4-5 sts per inch on US 7-9 needles, worsted weight

Very soft

I am using this to make a chemo hat for a loved one. It has a very soft feeling to it. The colors are pretty too. I am hoping the one skein will make the hat I have in mind, but if not, I will just make it a tad shorter than the pattern.
