Knitting Patterns: Pam Powers Cowgirl Cowl

The Cowgirl cowl is the latest creation of designer Pam Powers. This knitting pattern is a pretty herringbone lace stitch pattern with button back closure. I love that the buttons allow this cowl to be worn several ways; button it up in the back, or wear the buttons on the side - very pretty. This project features Shibui Heichi yarn, a lovely silk that really shows the texture in this pattern. Cowgirl is knitted flat from the top down and fastens in the back with buttons and crocheted button loops.  The edges have a slip-stitch garter selvedge so the kerchief will lie nice and flat. 

Completed Cowl Measures: 20.5" at widest point and 23.5" long at triangle tip

You will need:

• 4 balls Shibui Heichi Silk Yarn OR 390 yards worsted weight yarn
• Size US 8 and 6 straight or circular knitting needles
• Size G crochet hook
