Heirloom Stitches - Snow Bites Child Hat and Mitten Knitting Pattern

This matching hat and mittens knitting patern will help "take a bite" out of frostbite.  

Gauge:  6 sts = 1"

Hat Sizes: S-14"(M-16", L- 18", XL- 20")

Mitten Sizes: S-4-5"(M-5-6", L-6-7", XL-7-8 1/2"). To determine which size to make, measure length of hand from wrist to middle fingertip.  Be sure to measure both hands, using longest measurement to determine appropriate mitten size.

You will need

• 3 skeins DK weight wool (1 skein of 3 different colors)- MC= dark green, CC1= black, CC2= light green
• US 5 double pointed needles for mitts 
• 16" circular needles for hat or size needle to obtain gauge
• Stitch markers
• Yarn needle for grafting
