Cáliz  is a pretty lace shawl knitting pattern that was originally designed for a rustic, light and lofty sport weight. The pattern includes instructions to create Caliz in two sizes: small using fingering weight yarn and medium using sport/light worsted weight yarn.

Finished Measurements: Width–tip to tip: 52 (43.5)", Length: 16 (17)"

You will need:

• Small: 3 skeins Manos Serena Yarn OR 385 yards fingering weight yarn
• Medium: 3 skeins Manos Silk Blend Yarn OR 385 yards of sport weight yarn
• Small uses size US 6 needles
• Medium uses size US 8 needle

Skill Level: beginner

Other Details: A yarn with drape to the knitted fabric will yield the best results for both versions. Note that 100% wool yarn, particulalry merino, may not produce the intended result.

Gauge: 16 (20) sts/18 (24) rows = 4" in garter stitch after blocking.
